How B4B Endurance Racing works

What it's about

We aspire to give budget race cars a place to race in Western Australia

We aim for our events to maximise track time for drivers, and what better way than to have an endurance event that all your mates can get in on too. No prior experience needed! As long as your have all the gear and licences this is a great way to dip your toe into motorsport in a fun environment. You can make it as competitive as you wish!

Our inaugural event is the Wanneroo 7 hour. This race will run continuously as teams drive their car and alternate driving over the 7 hours. The goal is to turn the most laps, reliability is key.

Teams must have a minimum of 3 drivers, maximum of 6. All drivers are included in the entry fee which is on a ‘per vehicle’, rather than ‘per driver’ basis.

The goal of this series is to keep the racing accessible, fair, and focused on skill and strategy rather than on heavily modified cars. Therefore, there are a few rules to follow to participate in this event and ongoing events.

Vehicle Value

B4B endurance events is open to all mass produced, four wheeled vehicles (no open wheeled cars) under $10,000 of value.

Look up your vehicle on the Redbook value website, and it’s lowest range must be under $10,000.

Take note of your standard kW power specifications, (or the standard power of the engine if you have a conversion) you will need this number to fit into a Class.

Vehicle Modifications

Your vehicle will be allowed 2 out of 3 modifications listed below. If you have all 3, you will be put in invitational class.

  1. Aftermarket Brakes (Factory option brake upgrade is allowed-See Brakes below)

  2. Aftermarket Coilover suspension

  3. Non-factory Turbo/Supercharger or Headwork (ie Cams)

Because we all know that you’re a competitive bunch and this is another way for us to kerb the temptation to spend more money on your “budget” race car.

B4B Endurance Racing Classes

At each event vehicles will be separated into three classes.

Classes are dictated by the standard flywheel power output (kW) of the engine in the vehicle.

** Assigned brackets are at the full discretion of event organisers.

Engine conversions

Engine conversions are permitted.

Please note, if you have done an engine swap on your vehicle, the kW power of the replacement engine must be used during registration.

Brakes

OEM brake upgrades are allowable without incurring modification infringements if the brake upgrade was factory fitted to some variant of your chassis, see examples.

Example 1: VE Commodore SV6 can have Brembo’s from a HSV Spec VE Commodore

Example 2: Base spec 350Z can have a Brembo brake upgrade from a track edition 350Z without incurring a modification infringement.

Example 3: Porsche brakes fitted to a 350Z, will incur a modification infringement
